Browser Settings

deepsea.co.uk works best with “frames”, “cookies” and “JavaScript” enabled. Before going further, please check your browser settings.

Cache & Proxy Servers

When deepsea pages are updated, you may experience problems due to old versions of the pages being stuck in your web browser's cache or ISP's proxy server. Caches and proxy servers will automatically refresh and correct the pages they hold, but some are set up so as to be a bit slow at this. If the problems persist please try any of the following:

  1. Click your browser refresh/reload button
  2. Clear your browser cache files
  3. Change your browser cache settings to check for a new version each time a page is loaded
  4. On AOL 9 disable “Top Speed”. Click “settings” on AOL's Browser, then, under the “Essentials” flag, click “Internet (web browser) settings”. Then un-tick “Optimise Web Browsing using Top Speed Technology”
  5. Try a different browser; IE, Firefox, Mozilla or Netscape are less likely to give problems than AOL. Google Chrome does not currently work well with deepsea(and we are working to rectify this).
  6. Install a newer browser. Deepsea works best with version 6 or later browsers.

Computers and Bugs

No matter how hard we try, there will always be little problems that need fixing. Whether it is a spelling mistake, a broken link, or problems displaying this site on your browser, please report it so we can get it fixed.

Please report spelling mistakes on schedule pages and skipper's noticeboards and newsletters to the respective skipper.

For other problems, please either post it to the Comments Board or contact deepsea.co.uk.
