About the Skipper:
Owner and captain of the Ocean Runner, Ryan Jones, is a certified RYA Yachtmaster operating from Poole’s historic natural harbour on the Dorset coastline.
Ryan is the proud owner of the Ocean Runner, the new addition to Poole’s angling charter fleet.
Ryan is a highly competent skipper with a wealth of knowledge of both professional and recreational boating.
As well as his extensive yacht training with the RYA, Ryan has 15 years of experience offshore and inshore.
During father and son sailing trips Ryan began to fall in love with the sea at the age of 8 years old, throughout his childhood and teenage years he gained a vast amount of boating experience and developed a passion for fishing.
After several years, Ryan fulfilled his ambition of taking ownership of charter boats and is now the proud owner of Ocean Runner Charters, owning the newest edition to Poole’s angling fleet – Ocean Runner.

Boat Specification:
Our multi-hulled Catapult Catamaran, Ocean Runner, is our brand new 40ft fishing boat licensed to carry up to 12 passengers and 3 crew members both inshore and offshore.
Catapult Catamarans are a highly respected boat builder based in Southampton, Hampshire, and were the perfect choice for building our new vessel.
Our catamaran has been specifically designed to cater for many types of fishing.

Our Dorset charter fishing boat has superb facilities which include the latest electronics, oven, microwave, fridge, galley, toilet and safety equipment.
The spacious Ocean Runner is often described as “best boat in dock” for boat charters in Poole.

Ocean Runner operates out of Poole’s large natural harbour, a short walk from Poole town centre and a 10-minute drive from Bournemouth Town Centre.
The catamaran offers a stable platform for fishing and is fitted with rod storage, live bait tanks and a large bait station, making it ideal for both the recreational and experienced fisher.
